Has anyone else noticed how often these cases go unsolved? I was reading about Jesus Davis, who was killed in 2011, and it's just gut-wrenching to realize how many families never see justice. His murder was part of a horrible trend at the time, and it just seemed like nothing was being done to prevent these tragedies or solve them afterwards. I know these areas were dealing with a lot of resources being stretched thin, but how do we address the root causes? What can be done so that we don't keep losing more young lives like Jesus's to this cycle of violence? It feels like every year we hear promises of change, but these communities are still struggling. Sending love to his family and everyone affected – it's not fair that they have to live with this uncertainty and loss.
