Has anyone here been following the Tony Morgan case from 2011? It’s so devastating to think about such a young life lost to gun violence in West Englewood. I recently read about how some community-led initiatives are trying to make a difference, even in the face of obstacles like gang influence and economic hardship. It's inspiring to see residents rallying together, but it's clear they need more support from broader city resources. Tony's story, like so many others, underscores just how complex the situation is, and how important it is to address the root causes. Does anyone know if there have been any new developments in approaches by the city or local groups since then, particularly ones that might have helped similar neighborhoods? It would be great to know if Tony’s passing has led to any positive changes over the years.
