Was anyone else struck by the absence of a survival kit on Roger’s snowmachine? Considering the harsh Alaskan conditions, I figured he’d have some essentials packed in case of emergencies. Especially on such a long trek between Elim and Koyuk. Has anyone heard if his friends or family mentioned him carrying one often? It just makes me wonder if there's more to the story or if he might have left it with someone else before setting out.

Hey everyone, I’ve been following Roger's disappearance case and wanted to discuss something that’s been on my mind. I read that his snowmachine and cell phone were found, but Roger himself is still missing. Has anyone heard about whether the ice conditions in that area have been dangerous recently? I know that this part of Alaska can have unpredictable weather patterns. It would be helpful if someone familiar with that route could shed some light on how often these kinds of accidents happen. Also, wondering if search efforts are ongoing given the challenges of the terrain. It just seems like a really tough situation, and I’m hoping for a resolution soon. Would love to hear insights from locals or those who have experience with similar cases. Thanks!
