Hey everyone, I came across Megan Gonzalez’s case recently and something stuck out to me that I haven’t seen discussed much around here. She was last seen in Buffalo, NY on August 28, 2017, and it sounds like the disappearance was completely out of character for her. I’ve been wondering about the significance of the date and location. At the end of August, college campuses are buzzing with activity, people are moving into dorms, and there are a lot of gatherings and parties happening. Does anyone know if there were any events happening in Buffalo around that time that Megan could have attended? Maybe a festival or a big party that would have drawn a crowd from off-campus? Thinking about the crowded nature of such events, it's hard not to imagine the potential for someone to go missing unnoticed. I'd love to hear if anyone else has dug into this or if there are any local residents here who might remember the vibe in Buffalo that summer. Stay safe and let’s keep sharing insights to bring some answers.
Have any of you ever been near Hoyt Lake in Delaware Park in Buffalo? I was looking at the map where Megan Gonzalez was last seen, and it's such a big area. I wondered if anyone who frequents that place noticed anything unusual around late August 2017. It's usually pretty lively with people out walking or jogging, but I remember reading that it was a chilly night that might’ve kept the crowds away. Maybe someone saw something—a car that looked out of place, unfamiliar faces, anything? Small details like these could be crucial, especially with no leads popping up after all these years.
Does anyone else find it strange that Megan was last seen near the corner of Elmwood and Allen? That's a pretty busy area, especially around 9 PM when she was supposedly there. It seems like someone must have seen something! I know the police have been asking for tips, so maybe people in that neighborhood can think back if they were out that night. Even small details could be important. It's just frustrating when there are no solid leads in a case like this. If anyone knows someone who lives around there or was out on the 28th, it might be worth asking them to try to remember if they saw anyone matching Megan's description.
