I've been thinking a lot about how community support networks could have possibly made a difference in cases like Tiffany Edwards'. It's deeply saddening to hear about another young life taken too soon, especially amidst such a tragic weekend for Chicago. Where was the community outreach during that time? Was there enough focus on youth engagement and creating safe spaces? It’s clear that the ongoing violence back then highlighted some real gaps in community intervention efforts. I genuinely hope in memory of Tiffany and those lost, city leaders and community advocates came together to open more dialogues and direct resources toward protective measures. Maybe someone familiar with Chicago around that time can share if there were any initiatives aiming to tackle these issues that showed promise?
