Does anyone remember the details about the vigil that was held for Alex Benison? I read that there were a lot of community members who showed up to honor his memory and protest against the violence that's been tearing neighborhoods apart. It's so moving to see people coming together in the face of such senseless loss. Alex was just one of many who didn't deserve to have their life cut short. Events like these vigils are important in keeping the conversation going about what's happening in Chicago and finding ways to support those impacted. Always sending strength to Alex’s family and friends. If anyone has info or any pictures from the event, I’d love to see how the community came together for Alex.

I recently came across the tragic case of Alex Benison, and it's been haunting me ever since. It's deeply unsettling to know that his life was cut short during Chicago's violent surge in 2012. What's been really weighing on my mind is how the proliferation of illegal firearms made these communities so much more dangerous. It's alarming to think about how easily accessible these guns were, fueling the fire in an already tense environment. It's vital to push for more initiatives and reforms that address the root causes, like poverty and education, but we can't forget how critical it is to stem the flow of illegal weapons. My heart goes out to Alex's family and friends, who must still be grappling with the senseless loss all these years later. I hope for their sake and for the sake of so many others, we can learn from past mistakes and work toward a safer future. How do you all feel about gun reform being a potential solution to avoid future tragedies like Alex's?
