It’s hard to imagine the fear and uncertainty the students and parents must have felt as the news unfolded. I can't help but wonder how many of them knew Maurice or were connected to him in some way. The fact that the schools took such precautions really highlights how serious and frightening the situation was for everyone involved. I’m hoping the community is receiving the support they need to heal and process this tragedy. It's a reminder of how violence can ripple through so many lives beyond just those directly involved.
