Hey everyone, I've been following the mysterious disappearance of Waska and the six others since it happened back in 2020. I've been racking my brain trying to understand how they could just vanish without a trace. What's really puzzling me is the boat itself. Does anyone have any insights into the seaworthiness of a 20-foot open-hulled skiff in those waters? Especially since the weather in Alaska can be incredibly unpredictable and harsh, did anyone notice any warning signs about conditions on the day they went missing? It's baffling that there wasn't a single piece of debris found in the search. Just hoping someone with boating experience might have thoughts on what could have gone wrong or if there are any local rumors about what might have happened. Would love to hear theories or insights.

I've been following the case of the missing hunters who left Quinhagak and I'm really curious about that boat trip. I'm no expert in marine safety, but does anyone know if a 20-foot open-hulled skiff would really be safe for a group of seven people, given the conditions around the Eek River? I've read somewhere that weather can be unpredictable in that area, and I'm wondering if something like that might've played a role. It's baffling how they just vanished without a trace. Does anyone here have experience with boating in Alaska who could shed some light on what's typical for a trip like that in terms of safety measures or equipment?
