I’ve been following the case, and I keep thinking about the local community’s perspective on this whole situation. It’s shocking to hear that such a dangerous operation was happening right under everyone’s noses in Castle Pines. I can't imagine what the neighbors must be feeling, knowing they were so close to this tragedy. There must be fear and anger knowing that Bodnar lost his life in a place that was supposed to be peaceful and safe. It's a blunt reminder of how illegal activities ripple out beyond just those directly involved. I hope the neighborhood can find some healing and that law enforcement steps up efforts to prevent something like this from happening again. Sending strength to everyone affected, especially Bodnar’s loved ones who have to live with this forever.
I recently came across this case, and one aspect that really stands out is how the "Make My Day" law was handled. It’s chilling to think about how Wogan tried to use it as his defense. Inviting Fletcher over with the intent to fight and then claiming self-defense just doesn’t sit right with me. The prosecution was right to challenge that—it’s clear from the messages between them that this wasn’t about defending his home. Instead, it highlights the premeditated nature of the encounter.
My heart goes out to Fletcher’s family, especially his fiancé. Losing someone under such tragic and senseless circumstances is unfathomable. No law should be twisted in a way that could provide an excuse for such a blatant disregard for life. Seeing justice served through the verdict was somewhat relieving, though it doesn’t fill the void left by Fletcher’s death. Sending love and strength to everyone affected by this tragedy.
