I’ve been reflecting on the support systems that were—or weren't—in place for Rachel Entwistle leading up to that awful day. It seems like a lot of focus has been on Neil's actions, but what about their network of friends and family? I can't help but wonder if there were signs of distress or need for help that friends or family might have overlooked. Rachel was living in a new country, and as someone who’s also moved far from home, I know how isolated one can feel. This should serve as a reminder for us all to check in with our loved ones more often, especially when they're taking on new life challenges. My heart truly goes out to Rachel and Lillian’s family. It's just so senseless and sad.
I’ve been following the Entwistle case and something that’s been on my mind is the shocking attempts Neil made to sell his story to newspapers after the murders. How could anyone, let alone a father and husband, consider monetizing such a tragedy? It’s as if he saw this horrific event as an opportunity. This aspect of the case makes me question his awareness of, or regard for, the gravity of what had happened. My thoughts go out to Rachel and Lillian’s family, who have to continually relive their loss due to actions like this. It’s truly difficult to comprehend.
I've been reading about this case, and something that stood out to me was the depth of deception Neil Entwistle maintained about his life. It's just so unsettling to think how someone can present such a polished facade while everything beneath it is crumbling.
In particular, the way he tried to convince others of his successful career and happy family life is haunting. It's almost like he was living in a completely different world—a world he had carefully constructed with lies. I can’t help but feel for Rachel and Lillian, innocent victims in this disturbing web. It's chilling to imagine how isolated Rachel might have felt if she ever saw through any of these lies, yet felt trapped in their shared circumstances. I just hope justice brings some measure of peace to her loved ones. This case certainly reminds me of the dark realities that can sometimes hide behind a seemingly perfect image.
