I've been following José María Sedano Posadas' case for a while, and something that's been on my mind is the way his family reported him missing. They waited about 20 days before filing the report, which isn’t unheard of, but it just makes me wonder. Given that José said he'd be gone for a few months, his family might have hesitated because they expected he'd return on his own. I can't help but feel for them, not knowing whether they were doing the right thing at the time. Plus, the initial trouble they faced in getting authorities to take the case seriously likely added to their stress.
Does anyone else think this delay might have impacted the way the investigation was handled right from the start? I've read other cases where quick reporting makes a huge difference, but it seems like the authorities might not have been very responsive even when they did reach out. It must be incredibly frustrating for his family, all these years without answers. Just wanted to see if others had thoughts or similar experiences with reporting delays affecting missing persons cases.
