Did anyone else follow the vigil for Phillip Floro? I came across some photos online, and it was deeply touching to see how many people came together to support his family during such an unbelievably difficult time. It's apparent that Phillip was cherished by many, and his absence is felt deeply within his community. I noticed that his friends and family shared some beautiful stories about him and how he was always there for others, and it's just so sad to see another bright light dimmed by the senseless violence that continues to haunt Chicago. The outpouring of love for Phillip and calls for change were powerful—his legacy seems to be one of bringing people together, even amidst tragedy. My thoughts are with his children, Phillip Michael and Alyssa Briana, as they navigate this unimaginable loss. It's a harsh reminder of how urgent it is for real changes to be made to prevent further heartbreak in this city.
