Does anyone have any thoughts on how the jury arrived at the acquittal for John Franklin Jr.? I've been reading about the case and can't get over how complicated the whole situation is. It seems like they had a confession, which often seals the deal in court, but the jury still didn't find him guilty. Were there issues with the confession being coerced, or was there another theory of what happened that cast doubt on the whole situation? I’m no legal expert, but it baffles me how a confession didn't lead to a conviction. It's incredibly distressing for Michelle's mother, who not only discovered this tragedy but also had to endure the trial and see no one held accountable in the end. For the folks who've been following this case longer, are there details the rest of us might be missing? It just doesn’t sit right with me, and I can’t imagine how hard it must be for the victims' families, living without answers all these years.
