I recently stumbled upon the tragic case of James and Wendy Odom while exploring unsolved cases, and it's been on my mind. Has anyone else come across any details about the community's reaction back then? I can only imagine the deep impact it must have had on everyone in Groton at the time. It seems like such a close-knit community, and to have something so devastating happen makes you wonder how people supported each other through it. If anyone has more insights into how the locals coped or any community initiatives that might have arisen in their memory, I'd love to hear more. My thoughts are with the family and everyone who felt the loss.
Has anyone looked into the community response after the tragedy in Groton in 1967? I read about how James “Bo Bo” and Wendy Odom were taken way too soon, and it got me wondering about how the neighbors and local authorities reacted at the time. Given how small and tight-knit communities can be, I imagine there must have been some intense emotions and possibly gatherings or memorials in their honor. If anyone has come across old newspaper articles or has any personal stories shared from family or friends, I would love to hear more about how the Groton community came together afterward. The loss must have been felt so deeply. I can't help but think of the Odom family and hope that, despite the lack of closure, they were surrounded by support and warmth during such a difficult time.
