I recently came across the case of City Marshal Charles J. Few, and I can't shake the feeling of sorrow for his family. I was thinking about his wife, who had her entire world turned upside down in an instant. It must have been incredibly difficult for her to lose her husband so suddenly and violently, especially after he'd just been doing his duty. I wonder how she managed in the aftermath, facing not only her grief but also the massive changes in her life. Did she have any community support, or was she left to cope on her own? If anyone has more information about how she fared, I'd be really interested to learn more. It's crucial we remember not just the crime, but also the lasting impact on those who were left behind.

I’ve been digging into the tragic story of City Marshal Charles J. Few, and I keep circling back to the bravery he must have shown on that fateful January day. It's truly courageous how he was willing to risk everything in his duty to keep the community safe. He was just 32 and had so much life ahead of him, not to mention a family to take care of. It’s even more chilling to consider how the situation went from an arrest to such a devastating outcome. The person who helped the shooter was sentenced to 21 years, which to me feels like a surprisingly light sentence considering the loss of life and the impact on Marshal Few's family. Has anyone else come across similar cases where those assisting in such heinous acts faced lenient sentences? It just seems so unjust. My thoughts go out to Marshal Few's family and community who had to endure this loss.
