Hi everyone,
I can't stop thinking about Heather Reid's bravery during this entire nightmare. It's unimaginable to witness such horror and still have the presence of mind to try and help her mother and sister, all while being so far along in her pregnancy. She truly tried everything she could to save them despite the devastating circumstances. I hope she's found some strength and peace over the years, though I imagine it must be incredibly difficult to heal from something like this. Sending love and support to her and any of the family and friends who continue to deal with the aftermath of this tragedy. It's so important for communities to come together in support during such dark times.
Did anyone else read about the emergency call Heather made that night? It must have been incredibly traumatic for her, especially being so far along in her pregnancy. It's tough to imagine the strength it took for her to call the authorities and then try to save her mom and sister. That level of panic and fear had to be overwhelming. I've heard some dispatch calls in other cases, and they tend to replay over and over in your mind. If anyone knows more about how Heather is coping now or if there's any community support around her, I'd love to hear about it. She’s been through so much, and I hope there's been a network to help her heal after such a devastating night.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around what happened with the Reid family. I keep thinking about Heather Reid, 38 weeks pregnant and witnessing such unimaginable trauma. Her life has already changed in so many ways with her baby on the way, and then she had to face this horror. The strength it must have taken to call the police and try to help her mom and sister... I can't even begin to imagine. I hope she has a strong support system to help her through the aftermath of this tragedy. My thoughts are really with her as she navigates a future without her mom and sister, and I hope she and her baby are safe and finding some peace.
