Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the impact on LaTija's family, especially regarding her mother not being able to see her daughter's body right away. Can you imagine the agony of having to wait for procedural reasons when all you want is to be near your child one last time? This aspect of the case really struck me hard. It's such a painful thing to deal with in the middle of unimaginable grief. I can't help but wonder if there are ways these procedures can be adjusted to be more compassionate towards families in these situations. I mean, I understand the necessity for thorough investigations, but maybe there’s a middle ground? Does anyone know if this is a common issue or if there's any advocacy for change? It feels like something that could really help families who are already going through the worst time of their lives. Would love to hear your thoughts or if anyone has experience with this sort of thing. Stay safe, everyone.
