Just thinking about the events that unfolded at Michael Bryant's home is really troubling. What's especially unsettling is that one of the bullets entered the house where Michael's companion was. I can only imagine the sheer terror they must have felt, hearing gunshots and knowing that their life, as well as Michael's, was in jeopardy. It's such a traumatic experience, and their mental and emotional scars may take years to heal, if ever. Violence impacts more than its direct victims, and it’s so important to remember those often silent sufferers in these tragedies. My heart goes out to Michael’s family and friends, and to his companion who was there that fateful night. How do people even begin to move forward from something like this?
