I’ve been following Jalen’s case and something that's been really sitting heavy on my heart is the connection between Jalen and Stanley Powell. It's so unsettling to think they knew each other. How well did they know each other? Were they friends, or was it more of a passing acquaintance? It's hard to wrap my mind around how someone Jalen knew became the person responsible for this. It's got to be unimaginably difficult for Jalen's friends and family, knowing someone from their community was involved. I hope they find some sort of closure or understanding amidst all this. My thoughts are with them as they navigate such a profoundly difficult time.
