Has anyone heard more about the search procedures at Perry County? It's so concerning to think that something like this could happen during a routine process that should be safe for everyone involved. It's clear there was a lapse, but I can't stop thinking about how this might have been avoided. Officer Story seemed like he was really committed to his job and had such a promising future ahead of him. We owe it to his memory to ensure stricter protocols are in place moving forward. I hope the facility is making the necessary changes to keep the officers safe. My deepest sympathies go out to Officer Story’s family and the Perry County community—this is a devastating loss for them.
