Has anyone else been following the ongoing search for Josue Guerra Ramirez in Brooks County? It’s incredibly concerning how many people go missing in that area. I recently learned about the South Texas Human Rights Center and their work setting up water stations for migrants. It's disheartening to think about how many families are left in limbo, desperately searching for their loved ones in such a perilous landscape. Eddie Canales and his team seem to be doing crucial work, but it got me thinking—what more can be done to address these disappearances on a larger scale? If anyone here has information on how people can support these efforts or aid organizations in the area, please share. Maybe small steps from concerned folks like us can help make a difference. Thoughts?
It's been more than two years since Josue Guerra Ramirez was last seen, and I came across this case while researching the challenges faced by migrants in Brooks County, Texas. I'm particularly interested in the role of the South Texas Human Rights Center. Eddie Canales and his team seem to be doing incredible work with water stations and helping families search for their missing loved ones. It makes me wonder how much more could be done if there were more resources or public attention on this issue.
Does anyone have more information on the effectiveness of these initiatives? Are there similar efforts in other high-risk regions along the border? There's obviously a desperate need for more support in these areas. I'd love to hear your thoughts or any updates on Josue's case or similar disappearances in this region.
