I’ve been trying to wrap my head around the fact that Yuri’s children had to witness this unthinkable act. Imagine the trauma these kids are going through, losing their mom in such a horrific way and at such a young age. It’s deeply disturbing and tremendously sad to think about how this will affect them long-term. I wonder how much support they are receiving to help process all of this. It’s crucial they have a stable and loving environment moving forward. Being placed with an immediate family member hopefully means they can start to heal while still having some sense of normalcy. If anyone has experience with programs or resources that help kids in these situations, I’d love to hear about them. The community can really come together to support those kids and ensure they have the future they deserve.
