I've been thinking a lot about the kids of Brian and Melanie, if they have any. Whether you're still close to a parent or have drifted apart, losing them in such a violent and tragic way has to be an unimaginably tough experience. I hope friends, other family, and the community can rally around them now, offering whatever support they can. It's so important for them to have someone to talk to and lean on during these dark times. Sending them all my thoughts and hoping they find some comfort amidst the overwhelming shock and confusion.
