The Fresno Cambodian Buddhist Temple's festival is supposed to be a time of celebration and unity, but instead, it's now associated with this heartbreaking incident. It makes me wonder how safe people feel attending such gatherings moving forward. I hope that Nolyn's story prompts more conversations about how to support at-risk youth and disrupt the cycle of gang involvement. It’s a conversation that’s long overdue, and one that shouldn't be limited to just those directly affected by this tragedy. My heart goes out to Nolyn's family—I can't imagine the pain they’re enduring right now. If anything, let's rally as a community to ensure no more young lives are swept into this kind of violence.
