Just came across John Thompson's case from 1986, and something that stands out is the Ranchero being found on I-75 near Gainesville. It's strangely reminiscent of a few other missing person cases I've read about where vehicles were found quite a distance away from the person's last known location. Was this a common dumping area back then, or maybe just a coincidence? I know it's a stretch, but does anyone recall other cases from that era involving abandoned cars on that stretch of road? Sometimes patterns can offer clues or at least new angles to explore. Would love to hear if anyone has theories or knowledge about similar incidents in the area during that time.
