Hey everyone, I’ve been following the tragic case of Michael Frank Filomeno Cruz, and my thoughts are with his family during this tough time. It’s truly a sad reflection of our society when we lose someone in such a violent manner. Something that’s been on my mind is the impact on the families of the teens involved. I can’t even begin to imagine what they're going through. It’s hard enough to lose someone to such senseless violence, and then on the other side, you have these young people whose lives have veered so far off course. In these moments, I hope the community can come together to not only support Michael's loved ones but also to address whatever factors might be leading these juveniles down such destructive paths. How do we prevent this from happening again? It seems like there’s a lot of work to be done to provide better support systems, whether that be through community programs or mental health services. What are your thoughts on rehabilitating young offenders and preventing future incidents like this?
