Has anyone else been reflecting on how little attention mental health issues often get until it's too late? The tragedy of Miriam and Reid Beck's deaths in Jenkintown has really highlighted this for me. It’s chilling to think that Verity Beck, their own daughter, had been struggling so much beneath the surface. What breaks my heart is that so often these mental health issues remain hidden, sometimes even to those closest to the person. While it doesn't excuse what happened, it raises questions about what more could have been done to help Verity before things reached such a devastating conclusion. Miriam and Reid were such respected members of the community, and it seems they were loved by many. My thoughts go out to their family and friends who are left grappling with this overwhelming combination of grief and unanswered questions. I hope this case sheds more light on mental health issues and leads to more resources for those in need, preventing similar tragedies in the future.
