I was reading about Lonnell "Nelly" Newkirk’s tragic death, and something that's been sticking with me is the role of the surveillance videos. It's incredible and haunting to think about how much these cameras can piece together in a case. It's almost like they provide a timeline of those fateful moments leading up to and after the crime. I can't help but think how difficult it must be for Nelly's family to know that such footage exists of the minutes surrounding his death. On one hand, it offers some clarity, but on the other, it's a painful reminder of what happened. I hope they find some measure of peace as the investigation continues. It's just so sad to see a life cut so short, especially someone like Nelly who seemed to have such a vibrant impact on his community. ?
