I just can't stop thinking about how terrifying it must have been for Rosezella "Peaches" Munroe in her final days. It seems like she was crying out for help, but the system failed her. Why is it that someone like Byrd, with such a clear pattern of dangerous behavior, was still able to get close to her? It's just devastating to think of the fear she lived in, knowing he was still out there. I really hope this tragedy pushes authorities to reevaluate how they handle these calls and take them more seriously. It's scary to think how many others might be in the same situation without proper protection. Peaches deserved better, and so do all survivors of domestic violence. My thoughts are with her family and friends during this unimaginable time.
