Hello everyone,
I've been following the tragic case of BreAnna Johnson, and my heart goes out to her children and family. I wanted to touch on the discussions about why there isn't more robust legal protection available for domestic violence victims. It seems that BreAnna took numerous steps to seek help and yet still faced this unimaginable outcome. I've heard mentions of "BreAnna's Law," which sounds like a crucial step forward.
From what I've read, the idea is to create a registry for repeat domestic violence offenders. I think it's vital for communities to push for such legislation. It could make a difference in not only identifying potential threats but also providing an extra layer of accountability for those previously involved in domestic violence incidents.
Does anyone know if there's a way for people outside of Missouri to support this cause or similar initiatives? It feels like more awareness and legislation could help prevent future tragedies like this one. If more of us speak up, maybe we can contribute to meaningful change.
My thoughts are with BreAnna’s family and those kids who now face a future without their mom.
