Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Da'Shawn N. Whitaker from Norfolk? I keep thinking about how his family must be feeling right now, having lost him so suddenly and violently. It's frustrating to see another young life lost to gun violence, especially when it seems like there's been no progress in finding the person responsible. It's even more concerning that this is part of a bigger problem in Hampton Roads. What will it take for these senseless acts to stop? I think it's crucial for us as a community to support his family during this dark time and also push for better safety measures in our neighborhoods.
