Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the way the community has reacted since Germaniee Stephens was killed. His death has brought everyone together in a way I haven’t seen before. It's both touching and bittersweet to see how many folks have shown up to support the family and each other. I've heard about candlelight vigils and community meetings happening around town. It's clear that Germaniee was someone who touched a lot of lives.
It seems like every conversation I have lately is about how we need to address gun violence here in Indianola. There are so many people passionate about making changes, and I really hope this momentum leads to something positive. I just wanted to share a little bit about what’s happening on the local front. If any of you have found effective ways to mobilize or build community action, we'd love to hear about it. We need all the ideas and strength we can get.
