Hey everyone,

I've been following the case of Angela Holland and her son Amarus since the beginning, and my heart goes out to their family and the community in Greenwood. I wanted to bring up something that's been on my mind—the role of community vigils and gatherings in the healing process after such a tragedy.

I didn’t attend personally, but from what I've read and seen online, the vigil held for Angela and her baby seemed incredibly moving. It's amazing how people pull together in dark times, offering support and showing that the lives lost mattered to more than just their immediate family. Candles, flowers, and the sharing of stories can be so healing.

Anyone here attend the vigil or know someone who did? How did it feel to be there, and do you think it helped with the community’s grieving process? I think it's important that we talk about how these communal acts of remembrance can provide a sense of justice—not just in the legal sense, but in memory and solidarity.

Hoping for peace and healing for Greenwood.
Has anyone else noticed how Marquavious Gillespie's arrest seemed to come out of nowhere? It makes me wonder if there was some new evidence or information that led to his capture. I’ve read that he was taken into custody without bond, which suggests they have something solid on him. But why did it take several weeks to make these arrests? I can only imagine how difficult those weeks must have been for Angela's family, waiting for justice and answers. It’s comforting to see the community rally around her loved ones during this time; hopefully, this means some closure is on the horizon. If anyone hears more about what led to his arrest, I'm really interested in learning more.
