Has anyone else been thinking about the picnic area itself and how it played into this awful incident? It's unsettling to think such a violent act could happen in a place meant for family gatherings and relaxation. I’ve visited Myles Standish State Forest before, and it’s such a peaceful spot. It makes you wonder if anyone there that day caught a glimpse of something unusual leading up to the altercation. Just the thought of Robert Aponte-Flores being surrounded by his family one moment and then having his life end in such a tragic way is terribly sad. My heart truly goes out to his girlfriend, son, and the rest of his family who had to witness this horror so unexpectedly. I hope they’re getting the support they need from the community and friends in this difficult time.
Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Robert Aponte-Flores and just can't get over how his family must be feeling right now. I was thinking about the kids who were there during the shooting. It's such a terrible thing for them to have witnessed. Have there been any updates or interviews about the impact on them, or whether they're receiving support? It’s so important that they’re able to process this in a healthy way. This case has so many layers, and while we're all anxious to see justice served, I hope the young ones involved get the help they need to heal. If anyone comes across resources or programs for children in traumatic situations, please share — I'm sure the family could use all the support they can get.
