Has anyone else looked into the weather conditions in Thompson on the day Carlos Yuste disappeared? It was the dead of winter in Manitoba, and the weather could have played a significant role in his disappearance. I've read some old reports that describe the area being especially harsh and unforgiving during that time of year. If Carlos was struggling mentally, it’s possible that he wandered off and got disoriented in the freezing conditions. I know the RCMP search efforts at the time were centered around the town, but maybe the severe weather conditions hampered those early attempts. With the terrain and winter temperatures, it could have become a tragic scenario quickly. Would love to see if anyone has insights or if there's been any talk from locals about unusually severe weather events at that time which might shine new light on his case.
