Hey everyone, new to this forum but I've been following some missing person cases recently. The case of Cyril "Sonny" Thistle really caught my attention. I was reading about how his family didn't report him missing until 2013, more than three decades after he vanished. Just makes me wonder about the difficulties in investigating after such a long time passes.
It's interesting to think about how memories and evidence might fade, making it harder to piece together what might have happened back in 1981. Plus, considering Cyril's transient lifestyle, I can't help but think he may have left a trail, but tracing it now must be like searching for a needle in a haystack.
What are your thoughts on cold cases with years of delay in being reported? Does anyone else have examples of cases where significant time gaps were overcome?
