Does anyone have info about how the community in Kirkland Lake responded when Frank Szpak first went missing back in '96? It's a small community, right? I wonder if there were any local efforts to search for him or if the town organized anything specific to raise awareness at the time. Sometimes smaller towns have unique ways of banding together during these uncertainty events. I haven't seen much detail about any immediate reaction or search effort, which seems strange considering how tight-knit some communities can be.
