Mental health can undeniably impact a person's responses, especially in high-stress situations. It's so important to consider what Nelson might have been going through mentally at that moment and how it might have clouded her judgment. It's just all-around devastating for everyone involved. I really hope this opens up more conversations about the support needed for individuals dealing with PTSD, particularly in environments where firearms are present. My heart genuinely goes out to both John's and Kawanna's families as they navigate this very difficult circumstance.
