Has anyone looked into local folklore or community stories around Eaglenest Lake that might offer clues about Richard Petawanahqueb's disappearance? Given the lack of official records and searches, I wonder if local tales or family stories might hold some overlooked piece of information. It's not uncommon in rural areas for knowledge to be passed down orally, and sometimes these stories, however anecdotal, can provide a new angle on an old mystery. Even just understanding what life was like around Eaglenest Lake in the '70s and whether it was a common spot for locals could potentially open up new avenues of discussion. Would be interested to hear if anyone has connections to that area or has heard anything passed through generations.
