I've been digging into the Heinz Paul case and noticed something intriguing about his disappearance. It's reported that he was last seen filling his vehicle, and from there, he headed west. What's puzzling to me is the direction he chose. Heading west from both Calgary and Canmore means he was likely going deeper into the more remote areas of the Rockies. Anyone familiar with those routes knows how quickly you can find yourself amid isolated terrain.
This choice of direction has me wondering—was this an intended trip to somewhere specific, or could it have been a spur-of-the-moment decision? If it was planned, did Heinz have a local spot he'd visit often that we’re unaware of, perhaps for peace or to enjoy the scenery? Or maybe he had a personal connection in that direction?
I feel like understanding why Heinz drove west could be a key piece in unraveling what happened. Does anyone have insights into this, or perhaps speculation on why he might have chosen that path? It's strange how such a decision can lead to decades of questions!
