I was recently reading about Vernon Karl Otto’s disappearance and came across something intriguing that I'd love to get everyone's thoughts on. Considering Vernon's interest in farm equipment—and rumors that he was maybe planning to check out a crawler tractor—does anyone else think his disappearance might have something to do with a sale gone wrong? It's unsettling to think about, but since the RCMP are looking into business dealings from May 2018, I'm wondering if there was someone he met in the area that day. Maybe someone with a shady background? Theft of farm equipment is unfortunately not unheard of, and I'm curious if anyone local might've heard anything about sketchy deals or even just seen an unfamiliar face around that time. If you’re from Stead or nearby and recall seeing anything odd—like suspicious vehicles or strangers inquiring about equipment—I'd urge you to reach out to the authorities. Maybe it's been years, but small details can unravel so much. Let's help find justice for Vernon and his family!
