I've always been intrigued by the timelines in missing person cases, and Jack Nutter's situation is no exception. It's so unusual that he wasn't reported missing until nearly two years after he last made contact. I mean, yes, he had limited contact with his family, but two years is a long time. It's almost as if his quiet lifestyle worked against him in some way. I also wonder if there could be any old neighbors or acquaintances who might have any memories or info from back then.
Has anyone else noticed how this tendency for solitary individuals to not be reported missing right away seems to happen more often than we'd like to think? I'd love to hear if there are any similar cases out there and how they were eventually resolved. It's just such a cold thought that someone could vanish and not be missed until so much time has passed.
