Hey folks, I was digging through old cases and got intrigued by the 1988 disappearance of Mary Adele McCarthy. One aspect that puzzles me is the location where her car was found. Niagara Falls is a place with lots of tourists and movement of people. It makes me wonder if anyone might have seen her or even recognized her at the bus depot? It’s such a busy spot, and yet seemingly no one reported seeing anything unusual. I’m curious if there were any witness canvassing or follow-ups conducted around that area and if anything came up. Also, I've read that finding a car like that can sometimes be a red herring, intentionally left to throw everyone off. Do you think that might be the case here? Sometimes, I wonder if there might have been someone local who could have manipulated the situation to make it appear as if she had intentions of crossing the border. Thoughts?
