I was just thinking about how Kevin's passion for music might be a key detail that hasn't been fully explored. Considering he was an avid drummer, I wonder if anyone ever checked local gigs or music events around Thunder Bay back in 1996. It's possible he might have been involved in some kind of impromptu jam session or local music scene that wasn’t well-documented. Maybe someone in the music community saw or heard something? Often musicians move in somewhat tight-knit circles, and it's worth revisiting any venues or events that were popular during that time to see if anyone remembers a guy fitting Kevin's description. Just a thought, but it's strange how such a vibrant detail about his life doesn’t seem to have been the focus of any follow-up.
