I've been reading about Gilles Larose's disappearance and found something that really stuck out to me: the red jacket he was wearing when he vanished. It's just so peculiar to me. Vancouver gets pretty chilly in early spring, so that jacket must have been a staple for Gilles. But here's where it gets interesting—after Gilles disappeared, was the jacket ever found? Did his family or the police see anything of his personal belongings again? Sometimes, in missing person cases, clothing or possessions turn up years later, providing crucial clues.
I wonder if there's any chance someone might come across it now or if any witness at the time vaguely remembers seeing someone in a similar jacket nearby. Clothing can be such a powerful identifier because it's so distinctive, especially a red jacket, which would stand out against the usual dreary Vancouver weather. This could lead to some renewed efforts or tips from the public. Does anyone here have more information, or has there been any media follow-up on this aspect of the case?
