I’ve been following the Zbigniew Gajda case for a while now, and lately, I've been wondering why there hasn't been more attention on the specific conditions of the ice on Lake Superior the day he went missing. I know the weather reports from that time indicate it was unusually cold, but were there any other reports or eyewitness accounts from locals or other fishermen on the ice that day? It seems crucial to understand whether this was one of those freak incidents or a more predictable hazard others were aware of. Gajda was experienced and well-prepared, yet something clearly went wrong. I'm not from the area, so any Canadians or local experts on ice conditions who can shed some light? Would love to hear your thoughts.
