I've always been intrigued by cases like Ian Douglas Dickson's, where someone just seems to vanish without a trace. What I find particularly puzzling is the choice of Toronto for his visit. Was it purely for pleasure, or was there something—or someone—in the city that brought him there? The Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue area, even today, is quite bustling, and it must have been similar back then. Could that environment have somehow contributed to his disappearance, or does it have nothing to do with it at all? It's also curious that more details about his last known whereabouts or witnesses haven't surfaced, especially in such a populated area. Anyone have thoughts on why this might be or similar cases of people disappearing in busy urban settings?
