Has anyone else been thinking about the impact of the $25,000 reward that MPD has offered in Anthony Eddins' case? I can't help but wonder if this is enough to convince someone to come forward after all these years, or if there's something more that could be done to encourage tips. "Tee" or "Pookie," as he was known, was clearly loved in his community, and it seems possible that someone out there knows more than they're letting on. I truly hope that in time, someone will have the courage to share what they know and help bring some peace to his family. The fact that this case remains unsolved over two decades later is such a reminder of how much work we still have to do.
I've been thinking about Anthony "Tee" Eddins' case, and something that's been on my mind is the location where the tragedy happened. The 800 block of 21st Street, NE isn't just a random street corner—it's a place where people live their lives, and on that particular Saturday night, a life was senselessly taken.
For those familiar with the area, do you recall anything unusual in the days leading up to November 24, 2001? Sometimes small, seemingly unrelated details can help piece together what happened. Did anyone notice unfamiliar people hanging around or hear about any conflicts in the neighborhood?
Our community has been without answers for far too long. Anthony was a young man with so much ahead of him, and his family deserves closure. Let’s work together to remember and honor Tee by helping MPD with any piece of information, no matter how minor it seems. It could be a pivotal lead they need to finally crack this case.
