Has anyone else noticed how unusual it is that William Arthur Cole Jr. wasn't reported missing until over a month after he was last seen? I mean, I get that folks can fall off the radar sometimes, especially in smaller, tight-knit communities like Jewell Ridge, but a month and a half is a pretty long time. Was it common for him to take long walks and be out of touch for that long, or is there more to the story? Maybe someone local can shed some light on whether there was any past precedent for him being out of contact like that. It’s unfortunate because any delay in reporting can be critical in these situations, especially in harsh terrain like that area. Thoughts?

Has anyone else been following William Cole Jr.'s case from Jewell Ridge? Something that's been on my mind is the timing of when he was officially reported missing. He wasn't reported until April 19, but he went missing on March 5. That's a substantial gap. Does anyone know if there's a particular reason why it took so long for him to be reported missing? I get that it's a rural area and he was known for his walks, but I feel like waiting over a month seems unusual for a missing person case. Could it be that his regular walks led to some initial assumptions that he was just taking longer than usual? I'm really hoping anyone local might have more insights, especially since the search efforts with helicopters and drones didn’t turn up anything. The woods in that area can be quite dense and tricky. It’s worrying how quickly someone can vanish without a trace.
