I've been following the discussions about Jason Edward Hood, and one thing that really stands out to me is how complicated these situations can become when someone isn't officially reported missing. It seems like Jason had a pattern of going off-grid, making it even harder for his family to know if something was truly wrong or if he was just taking another extended break. I guess it's easy to say now that he should have been reported missing sooner, but hindsight is 20/20, right?
I'm wondering, does anyone know how these cases are usually handled when someone frequently disappears voluntarily? Are there protocols in place, or does it all come down to the family's judgment each time? The authorities have a lot on their plate trying to piece this together after all these years, especially with only skeletal remains to work with. My thoughts are with those involved, hoping they get some closure soon.
